Oaxaca

We moved to Oaxaca City in September of 1990 and can honestly say that it is our favorite place in all of Mexico. The state of Oaxaca boasts the glorious past of their pre-hispanic cultures.  The people of Oaxaca proudly display the time-honored arts and crafts of their indigenous roots. Their annual music and dance festival (the Guelaguetza) cannot be found in any other part of Mexico.

Could it be that the spirit of Mexico cannot be found until one has traveled to Oaxaca?
